About

Abandoned at birth due to his burning red eyes, the mutant child who would one day become Remy LeBeau was kidnapped from his hospital ward by members of the New Orleans Thieves Guild who referred to the child as "le diable blanc" - the white devil. They believed he was the child that had been prophesied to unite the warring Guilds of New Orleans. Soon after, Remy was placed in the care of a gang of street thieves who raised the child and taught him the ways of thievery. Later, when he was around ten years old, Remy attempted to pick the pocket of Jean-Luc LeBeau, then-patriarch of the Thieves' Guild. Jean-Luc took the boy off the streets and adopted him as his own son.

The young Gambit was commissioned to recover the diary of Nathaniel Essex from the Weapon X Facility in Canada. He was discovered by guards, but got away with the diary in the confusion caused by Logan's escape. Appalled by the experiments he had seen at the Facility, he burned the diary. Back in New Orleans, Essex accepted Remy's claim that the diary could not be found, but predicted that they would have a bright future together.

As part of a peace pact between the Thieves’ Guild and their rivals, the Assassin’s Guild, a marriage was arranged between Remy and Bella Donna Boudreaux, the granddaughter of the head of the Assassins Guild; however, Bella Donna's brother Julien objected to the marriage and challenged Gambit to a duel. Remy killed Julien in self-defence, but was excommunicated and banished from New Orleans in an attempt to maintain the non-aggression pact between the two guilds.

Eventually, Remy encountered Storm, a member of the outlaw team of mutant adventurers known as the X-Men. Storm had been transformed into an amnesiac child who had turned to theft as a means to survive. Remy helped her escape her enemy, the malevolent psionic entity known as the Shadow King, and they became partners. Later, when the X-Men's founder Professor Charles Xavier returned from a long period of traveling in outer space, Storm, now restored to her true adult state, sponsored Remy's admission into the X-Men.

[Remy is very canonically bi/pan, as confirmed by the writers, and I play him as such. He is also black coded, and I do not play him fully white, he is mixed Creole but white passing. My Remy is canon divergent, as he never turned to Sinister for a lobotomy, ergo was never a part of the Morlock Massacre, ergo was never abandoned by Rogue in Antarctica. I also do not default to him living on Krakoa, or in any relationships. This is a multiverse/multiship blog, and nothing is interconnected unless clearly specified as such.   • I don't always follow. I try to keep my dash to things that spark joy. I reserve the right to not follow back or unfollow at all times, without need for explanation. (If we are established partners, I'll always try to be courteous and message you to explain why we aren't going to work out.)

  • I do not tag all the possible triggers that exist.   • I am slower than a snail going uphill through molasses in January some days. Other days I reply at lightspeed.   • I do not roleplay for the purpose of shipping. I love my ships, I get involved with my ships, but I am NOT here solely for ships, and definitely not solely smut.

  • I do not require any sexual scene to be fully played out, you are more than welcome to tell me you want to fade to black. I'm not here for the sole purpose of writing smut.

  • I do NOT smut unless we thread regularly AND regularly interact OOC. NSFW threads are a means to getting to know my muse, and our muses' relationship better. I don't write it for the heck of it. I've made exceptions to this rule on occasion and it's never left me feeling comfortable. If you have to rely solely on a meme on Sexual Sunday to elicit that kind of interaction, that's your cue my muse doesn't know yours well enough for a NSFW thread.

  • Ships are unique to themselves, don't expect identical interactions ever, and I do multiship.

  • While I only ship chemistry, you are welcome to yeet into my DMs and be like "hey fuckface my muse is crushing hard can we explore this?!" That does NOT mean the ship is guaranteed to pan out. Just because I agreed to explore this does not mean I mean I signed some contract on OTP status.

  • Do not come at with me with the single sentence of "I have a plot idea and it's we ship our muses" or throws smut meme in your inbox and we never interact. Fast way to get ignored or blocked.

  • Unless you’ve cleared it with me, please do not make our rp thread interactions into your muse’s general canon outside of our ship verse. I did not sign up for that and it makes me really uncomfortable to think anything I write is being inserted into your muse’s canon and subject to critique in that manner. On that same note, I will note, I will not write with canon-inserts (oc child, parent, sibling, best friend, etc) unless I have a means to not have it affect my own muse’s canon if I’m not comfy with your canon.

  • I do not have many triggers but I have a hardstop at m!preg, magical/spedup/otherwise not realistic pregnancy, A/B/O, breeder, DD/l. I will not roleplay them, and if I see them on my dash without being tagged I will immediately unfollow. Y'all are welcome to do as you want, but I'm not making myself uncomfy in my antistress zone.

  • I will not use pregnancy/children as plot points but for a select few muse relationships where it is part of the natural flow of the ship and has been plotted as such, or our ooc relationship is good enough for you to know my stance on sending a pregnancy meme.

Hey! I'm Taggerung/Tagg/Rogue (she/they), I answer to all of them.
I have been roleplaying since 2011, and Remy is one of my many muses, who joined my roster in June 2020 (I'm still getting a feel for him, he's been low activity, so if you see some inconsistencies that's why).
I welcome duplicates, you don't have to worry if you're a multi or something and we write the "same" muse, we can still interact. Everyone's iteration is different.
I favor multi-para and novella rp, one liners really do nothing for me at this point. I sometimes use icons, but mostly for asks and never require them of my partners. My main focus is being able to read your writing as 'aesthetic' fonts and word layouts in posts are often illegible for my neurodivergent brain.
